Brain Tumor

My mother was diagnosed with brain cancer via her scans.  This mass is about 6cm.  The doctor sat me down and showed me the picture and offered his condolences.  Since she is 75, he said there is not much they can do to prolong her life. He told me with surgery and all the therapy she will have about 6 months left.  However, if we elect to do nothing, he said she may have a couple weeks.

We decided to discharge her the next morning and try alternative ways to fight this cancer.  We came home on 6/30/2012 and I have been religiously juicing and putting her on a raw diet trying to increase her pH level.  I am also using the Budwig (flax/cottage) 2x a day.. giving her Carnivora... Enzyme treaments, spirulina, and vegetable broth, coconut oil.  As of today, she was been responding quiet nicely.  She was able to walk to the park without assistance.  She is speaking a bit more (slowly).  The pressure and pain on her head is lessoning.

I have taken her off the steriods (immunosuppresants) completely so far.  Only been a few days, but seems like things are improving as we speak.  I am very happy.

I have placed order on Cellect Powder, B17 and Apricot seeds.  Hope to get this by end of the week so I can implement these into the daily protocol.

I am hopeful that she will recover...

Hi I wish both you and your mother the best of luck I see you have put together a nice protocol to help your mum. I am glad your mother is doing well.

If I may there are a few other things you could have a look at including:

Boswellia: The resin from Boswellia serrata  has an important role in treating brain cancer. Boswellia is commonly used for treating inflammation. 500 to 1000mg per day.

Vitamin d3 5,000 iu per day

Selenium 200mcg per day

Alpha-tocopherol-succinate (type of vitamin E)400 IU per daily

1,200 mg dailyMelatonin 10 to 20 mg at bed time each night

Curcumin around 2,000 to 3,000mg per day

Quercetin around 1,000mg per day

Green tea extract 700mg to 2,000mg per day EGCG or 10 cups of green tea without milk

Trans-Reveratrol 400 to 500mg per day

Sulforaphane 90 mg per day

One should use curcumin and boswellia as they act to reduce inflammation, reducing the necessity for steroids, you really have to keep on eye on swelling in the brain.

I have renal cell cancer and now lung mets. I have been looking under all stones for more answers. I am kinda affraid(dont kick me off forum please) to say this with all the controversy it has created over the last 20 years, but this you should research for brain tumor.   I just learned about Antineoplastons just today. I watched a documentary on dvd a friend gave to me. Wow, you have to look into this and please give me your opinion. Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski developed this natural type of treatment called Antineoplastons. He has had some great results with the worst kind of brain cancers. I believe it is in phase III trials now. I think a person in your moms situation may benifit. I will be looking more into for myself. Best wishes you and your mom .  DVD   www.burzynskimovie.com

Thank you.  Seems like her headache is gone.  However, she is developing pain in her legs.  She is very feeble and sleeps for most of the day.  I do see she going some uncontrollable twitches in her arms and legs.  I am not sure what to expect.. The mean heaches are gone, and I am not giving her any steroids or pain killers.

If someone knows the progression of this treament, please feel free to comment.

My husband has a stage 4 brain cancer. We did have the tumor removed and did the general treatments (radiation and Temodar). But he has also been taking high doses of vitamin D3 (at least 5000 IUs - I would recommend even more) but we are also trying a sodium chloride drink called ASEA. It's somewhat expensive but we've heard too many testimonials of cancer being cured not to give it a shot. So far, 9 mos. out, scans have all been clean. Just giving another option.

without seeing your mother at my clinic I really can't comment on her case. But I would like to know what you have her on now did you run with any of my suggestions ?

Leslee1204 I am glad your husband is doing well, and I agree you should take 5000 iu's of d3 every day. As for the ASEA I have read some information on it but I really keep away from MLM products good or bad as you tend to get a lot of information from people who just want to sell it and you never read much information from real research. I would give liph water a try.

Do you think I should continue to give her steroids?? I am not sure if all the alternative stuff is treating the inflamation.  Will the steroids sidetrack the alternative treatments that I am try to do ?

It's not really ethical for me to give you advice regarding the usage of steroids, steroids have their own problems. The twitches are most likely from the brain tumor.  maybe check out http://www.braintumor.org/patients-family-friends/about-brai

Any treatments you choose to use can take time and you will need to adjust them according to the patients needs. Just make sure the patients is getting the calories they need a nice balanced diet full of veggies and fruits and high quality proteins and fatty acids. If patient is week don't restrict meat too much.

I understand your point.  I started giving her 1/2 the dosage of decadron today to help relieve some of her symptoms.  I understand that there are other side effects from this steroid.  So far she is reponding a bit better today, and I am going to continue my alternative treatments.  I just want to get the swelling under control first so she is not so debilitated.

How do I know if the brain tumor is dying off without another visit for more scans?
