sister nauseous

Hi All

My sister started her chemo today 5FU , she is only 107 lbs and already she is very nauseous and does not want to eat. she already took the compazine but it did not help. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I take ondansetron for the first three days after infusion, works for mr. Dont settle for one thing, averybody reacts differently, push docs for more help.

Thank you, I will call him  and ask for that. do you only take after the infusion or during also?

Kady - A whiff of rubbing alcohol is a quick fix - settles you somehow.

Odan was the third nausea med my hubby tried  that finally helped  - took it daily. He got Emend the days before his big chemo treatments.

If you can, get as few pills as you can to see if it works.
