Solaraze gel 3% has anyone used this cream

My doctor has prescribed Solaraze instead of Efudix for treatment on my face. He feels it will be less traumatic on my skin. Apparently it has less side effects but I must use it once a day for 3 months. Seems like a long time to get the same results as Efudix which I have just finished on my arms and chest with good results. Has anyone had experience with this cream. Can you use moisturiser on your face or cosmetics.

Thankyou Jo

My wife used that on her face also but her face became very red and she did not go the full distance in its use because of the redness

Hi Bushy, did your wife have any other side affects whilst she was on the treatment other than the redness. I know with the efudix I came up in lots of red lumps and they were unbearably itchy. I am a sales rep so Dr said I wouldn't have to take any time off work with this alternative. There doesn't seem to be much info about this cream, I have read a lot about Carac and Efudix. All doctor said was there were miminal side effects.

Cheers

JO

Could you wife wear moiisturisers or makeup whilst using this cream.  I am on day 4 and already my face is tingling, burning and very itchy. Did she use anything to help with the  side effects. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Seems there is ot much information out there on this Gel. Have read a lot about Efudix and similar products but there is no discussions about Solaraze.

Thanks for your time

Jo

Sorry my wife could not wear moisturizers as it interferes with the process, in the end it does become unsightly thats why the doctor stopped the treatment very fiery and scabbie but it did work for her even with a reduced period of use sorry that is about the extent of our knowledge hope it helped in some small way

Thanks so much for your time bushy, I used the cream for 4 days and the same happened to me and it was not good, swelling and redness, so decided that I am not going to put myself through the misery. I may decide to do it at a later date. I am still miserable from the Efudix treatment on my chest and arms and the pain and itching are unbearable so can't imagine myself doing it to my face. Thankyou again for your help. Hope you wife doesn't have to go through it again.

Sorry the same result for you. I had a basil cancer on my hand had it cut out 3 or 4 times over the years it came back again a while ago was a mess the doctor prescribed a cream to be put on before I went to bed then washed off in the morning it was applied for 4to5 weeks the thing about this cream was it stimulated the immune system to fight it and it worked to perfection better than when I kept having it cut out I was very surprised with the result good luck in the future
