I don't even know where to start!!

Hi, my mother was recently diagnosed with thyroid and lung cancer in a very advanced stage. She is undergoing treatment at carson tahoe medical center in carson city nevada. I live in huntington beach california. Ive been trying to read up online about some options as far as care and have been coming up with little information. I am going to be moving her down here as soon as possible but dont have the facilities or money for hospice care or in home care. I could really use some insight here. I really don't know what to do.

If she is of age, she should have medicare.  There are resources to be in touch with, such as the social services department of the oncologist where you take her too.  I would think she would be going to a cancer care center, and they usually have a referral for assistance.  There is also assistants that will help you out if you are working, and her needs  can be addressed for bathing, cooking...etc..!  Blessings!

she is 63 and has been trying to get medicare and disability but its in another state. she doesnt have insurance and i dont know what her moving from nevada to california is going to do for that process. she is receiving treatment at a great cancer center at crson tahoe regional but i just dont know where to go here in california.
