Just thought I would post a message for anyone needing an MRI of the brain, but can not be still.
I work for an imaging facility in central NJ. We frequently do this exam on children, with out having to sedate a child. It can be done on anyone who can not be still.
It takes a total of 5 minutes to complete the exam. Its called a propeller exam.
They do the scan, then the software reformats the images.
I am not sure if all imaging centers have this software. It can't hurt to ask.
I hope this information is helpful.
