A Story To Help Young Children Deal With Death And Dying

Dear Everyone,

SallySem, a fellow cancer compass user, wrote in the brain cancer sub-forum of a story to help children understand death and dying. The story is called "The Fall of Freddie the Leaf."

It isn't just for kids - or maybe i am just a big kid - it touched my heart and brought a tear to my eye. If you have not seen this story before, it is a WONDERFUL, short (one page) story and is worth every second of the short time it will take you to read it.

PS I have no idea why this story is on the web site it is on. It does not appear to have anything to do with Buddhism.

i have a question - what sub-forum is this message thread in? i initially posted it in the main cancer forum but the next day it was not there. i thought the cancer compass people may have deleted it (i thought maybe i'm not supposed to put links in messages so i stopped doing that for a while). if you are reading it, i am guessing they may have just moved this thread to another sub-forum. i tried to find this thread a while back and couldn't and still can't find the forum this thread is in. (i am posting now only because you replied to it and i have email notification that takes me to the note but not the sub-forum it is in).
