Yong and in desprate need of help !!!

Hello everyone !!

I am 20 years old and I am searching for some advice regarding colon cancer. I have had some weird symptoms the past several months and ended up in the ER this past week.

I am not being sent for a colonscopy to check for colon cancer. And also some other things such as colitis and dyrticulitis. But they made me aware colon cancer is a possibility. Even more so since that is the cancer my father had.

So if someone could message me and or comment with some kind of experience stories or thoughts I would greatly appreicaite it. Like I said, I haven't been diagnosed yet, just made aware it is a possibility and to be aware.

It could be a lot of other things also, minor things.  You are young, chances are its not cancer.  Don't borrow trouble at this point.  Will pray for you

Red02 I agree with livingyfaith, it could be a simple problem, However I am a firm believer in getting the test done to elminate the question as if it is, Lets find it early if it is if not eliminate it and go on.

I am so sorry you are having these troubles at your young age.  Just being on here tells me you will are a very critical thinker and that will take you along way in your challenges:)  My daughters are about your age and have had colonoscopies as several members of our family have had c.cancer .  I am 46 and 10/10 was diag with colon cancer and had a colon resection.   I am happy they are checking you for the other things too, try to remember that is all they do:)  Email me anytime for more info about my family and experiences:)

Ask to be tested for Crohn's disease, often in young people. Best wishes. Judy.

Insist on a colonoscopy. Our family has a type of hereditary color cancer. Most of us have had our colons removed in our 20's and 30's. You can live a normal life without a colon. Even if it's Crohns, many ppl have their colons removed. So I say, if your doc won't do a colonoscopy, find one that will.
