About 4 months ago my dad was diagnosed with sclc.  A few months before we discovered his cancer he was having intense shoulder pain, no pain meds help and if they do its only once in awhile. He ended up having surgery because he did have a tare in his muscle.  Soon after the surgery he was diagnosed with the cancer.  We learned last week that it has spread to his bones.  He is still having the bad shoulder pain.  Has anyone experienced pain like this?  Is it from the cancer or the surgery??  He is in so much pain and I feel helpless

I experienced shoulder pain for months prior to my diagnosis, however, my lung was collapsed.  I am not a candidate for surgery as the cancer metasticized to my lung lining.

I was diagnosed with nsclc in 2003 with 2-3 years to live.  I am now in my 10th year.

I take Tarceva 150 mg.  It is saving my life.

I am praying for you and your dad.
