I am 28yrs old and I lost my mother to brain cancer when I was 5. She was only 32 when she died. She found out she had it when she was already pregnant with me. I have never taken time to sit and read up on this until now. I have come down with some other health issues and was thinking about this. I hope that some can help me. My father will not talk about my mother and I am getting frustrated because I dont know much about it since I was young. I really want to know how the treatments effect an unborn child. I do believe she had radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Im wondering if it weakened my immune system. I think I just lost all train of thought!!! Thanks to anyone that can provide me some information Jennifer

My friend,23 years ago chemotherapy was very harsh and unreliable.I feel great sympathy for your mother, your father, and right now I feel great sympathy for you. There is a good possibil- ity that your fears are correct but your father probably has a bad time discussing it.Trying to get straight answers from a hospital may be tough as they are slow to critisize or second guess the profession.A man that can give you good information is S.R.Burzynski or his wife Barbara and you can reach them at 1-713-335-5697.In the mean time monitor your health as often as needed, seek treatment quickly when you have a problem, and do not hesitate to get second opinion's.

Thanks
