How long can she survive?

My nan has secondary liver cancer (pancreas is suspected as the primary). She is skeletal and unrousable. She has deteriorated in the last week and the family were called to her bedside. She began cheyne stokes breathing on the 8th nov and made her last attempt at speaking on the 8th. She began the death rattle on 10th and began two days of alternating between the two. Yesterday (13th) her heart rate was 100 and breathing very fast until the evening. Since yesterday (13th)her breathing has been relatively normal though her pulse is irregular and thready. She has not taken any fluids since the 10th (a couple if teaspoons on that date) but prior to this she had been drinking well. It's now been 4 days since she had had any liquids (though there is a tiny amount if saline in her syringe driver) and she seems to be breathing normally. Can anyone tell me how much longer she could or is likely to hold on for? It is so difficult not knowing. She looks like we could be here for a while but the nurses are surprised that she has not passed.

I am so sorry.  My father passed a few days after not taking liquids- Gallbladder and Pancreatic cancer.  He was resting comfortably until his breathing started to change.  I guess each person is a bit different. My thoughts are with you.
