Hi bambinaki,
I'm newly diagnosed with T-Cell LGL Leukemia and have been trying hard to reach out to others with the same condition that is so rare. So glad to see your message here as I can relate to it somewhat.
I was on MTX (methotrexate) 20mg weekly for about a month with severe neutropenic conditions (ANC < 500 but >200). Previously, I was on cyclosporine for about 4 months without much effect on the ANC. Well, MTX seemed to do something or so what my doctor observed with one CBC reporting ANC to be at 2000. But the next CBC and another subsequent report showed them near 0 again. A mystery but that's when I became sick with fever and chills. The docs took me off MTX then for which I'm still seeking explanations. I think we stopped MTX therapy too soon... I'm now profoundly neutropenic (ANC <200) but on a new chemo - Cytoxan (cyclosphosphamide) 100mg daily. Fingers crossed!
