Though guidelines suggest screening starts at 50, researcher says it's premature to change them

I have heard fasting two days before a chemo treatment allows the good cells to form a protective shield, something the cancer cells don't seem to be able to do. I get my first dose this Friday, and I'll have a pump for two days. Would I fast also during the two days I have the pump in addition to two days before starting?
