My husband has renal cell carcinoma. he had his kidney removed in may 2006 then they found 2 spots on his lung, he's had those removed. dr's told us that all he needed to now is to get a ct scan every three months. in my mind i thought maybe we were a step ahead of this disease.then on sept.7,2006 he had started getting headaches, then 4 days later his face and lip started to fall, first i thought he had a stroke, i started making some dr's appt.we had a pet scan set up for sept.22cd but didn't get that far. his headaches got worse so i took him to the er.come to find out he had a mass (3.0x2.6) and five smaller ones (4mm)the dr's said radiation treatments were the best way to go to shrink them. my question is was this the right way to go ?? thanks lou
