Merry Christmas....way to hang tough from oudave

...never beat yourself up for grieving or being angry..share it all with our God.....grieving hits us all this time of year...we have all lost something but the death of a spouse particularly one of 43 years is both gut wretching And heartbreaking..and while grief rolls like a roller coaster up and down zig and zag...we hand it all over to our God and ask our God to make this day a tad a bit better than yesterday......thank u for this day and the beauty in it....help those less fortunate or more in need than us and give me the strength hope and trust to finish this day strong...never giving in to the consequences of the little c or despair.....we can't gloss over the realities of our circumstances but we can spin a liveable perspective and nourish grateful hearts for all we are blessed to have.... For example I refuse to get in more than 3 parking lot shopping fights today and don't even try to swipe that last pair of Levi's or DVD .....lollll...maybe I should stick to giftcards.... Hang loose goose. This day is ours for the taking." Oudave83 straddling the fiscal cliff while Christmas shopping.....and I have lost allot of flexibility..... He he.....

Wow, what a great present it is to hear from you again!  And as optimistic and supportive as ever, too.

Your absence caused much consternation and some worry, so now all that is relieved.  Terrific to know you are doing well.

I specifically remember you being there for me two years ago when I began this tough old slog, encouraging and even cheerleading me and so many others through all the icky stuff.

"The Man" is back!!  Oudave, good to hear from you again.  And fortunately for me, it has not been 4.5 years since you've been on the site.  I just passed the 4 year mark of my DX and you were still quite active on the board during my treatment and first year of recovery.  

What a joy it was to read your posts and especially to receive them.  You definitely have a way of lifting spirits around here for which I and many others will forever be grateful.  

I hope Christmas was pure joy for you and everyone and that we all have a HEALTHY & prosperous 2013!

It's been 4 1/2 years for me too.......time flies when you are having fun!!!!!!  Actually....I have almost put the entire nightmare behind me....(almost being the operative word!)

Dave, I am so happy to be able to read your very possitve post for Christmas!!  You reached out to me, cheered me on, encouraged me, and helped take away some fear.  I am now 2 1/2 years NED!!  And, your compasion and truth and faith kept me marching forward.  So good to read everyones post here.
