Zelboraf stopped working

My husband just finished a clinical trail for Zelboraf and a MEK drug at Moffitt cancer center in Tampa, FL.  He was on the trial since Jan. 2012.It stopped working after 10 months.  He had spots on his rt tibia,right salivary gland, 1 on left bicep where it all started,3 on his lungs, 1 on kidney, liver and one in abdomen cavity.  They all decreased in size by 38%.  Only side affect he had was more fatique than normal. But he was not taking the Zelboraf alone.

He just had scans last week and everything has out of the blue has doubled in size.

He was taken out of the study and we will now go into another study that starts in January. It is for Yervoy and another drug together.

This unfornately is the last drug of choice to try.  We are once again moving forward towards the unknown.  I know it is all in GODs hands,  We live everyday to the fullest and appreciate each on a daily basis even more.

I am so sorry to hear about your husband ..my prayers are with you and your family. I am dealing with nightmare and husband finishing treatment for brain mets. He was pos for BRAF and we are in limbo until CT scan tomorrow tells us how fast it is growing. Is the Zelboraf for BRAF? I am looking for info always....and fear the moment when we reach the last med available. Please provide any info u have that might be helpful. We are currently awaiting eligibility for another clinical trail at moffitt in Tampa.  It is Yervoy and another drug together. The Zelboraf is for BRAF.  I will keep you posted.

Hi. Just wanted to check in. I am having such a tough night. My husband had a suregery for the mass in his belly and just got home yesterday...He is miserable tho and mainly due to mood. We have not even started the Yervoy! He has NO appetite and has lost about 20+ lbs and is really struggling with t his. Any suggestions? I have seen so many rec for txments that are supposed to help with cancer...but he is not wanting to do them. I am desperate and he is so depressed. I cannot sit back and watch my husband give up like this.

Please offer any info that you have. Talking to his family is too diff as they cannot handle anything right now.
