Ready to beat Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in 2013!!

I am confident this is my year and to everyone fighting as well, keep with it!!!! Mine has spread from the tail of my pancreas (worse than head) to my liver, lymph nodes, major mass in abdomen, cervix, stomach, bowels etc.  BUT I have come so far and have faith progress will be made in the pancreatic cancer world this year and I am going to focus on my health!

Well done for your attitude toward this insidious disease you are right each year brings further development in the treatment of PC we just have to hang in there Have a great 2013

I admire your courage. With this positive attitude I am sure you will beat the cancer.

hello ashley! what a wonderful and positive outlook you have!! i am wishing you and your family all the very best for this year, and to beat this awful disease!!!!

My mother was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just before christmas, I am absoloutely devastated not just because she is my mum but because before now i never even knew this awful thing existed! it has spread to her liver, lymph nodes and also made a lesion on her back :(( i am terrified of loosing my mum as am only 20, and dont have much family so it i cant even bare to think of life without her.

hopefully she is starting chemo soon! can you please be honest does it actually help? im phoning around everywhere to try and get her on trials or anything atall that can possibly save her! i also found out about this cyberknife thing in london which sounds amazing!! you should check it out.. if you could possibly give me any advice or some tips i would be so grateful.

I am sorry to hear abot your mum. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am not opposed to conventional treatment but please don't discount Alternative Treatment. Read about them on internet and buy some abooks. Ged educated on alternative treatment. Talks to experts. Try one that is asafe and applicable in your mum's case.

Thank you everyone!! :)  I wish I wasn't in my 20s doing this, I consider anyone diagnosed older than 26 super lucky!!!! but I am still fighting over a year now so I am proud of that and had my best CA19 results yet on Monday during chemo! :) 

Yes I believe chemo works.  I know if I hadn't received chemo, I'd be dead by now.  I know she is obviously much older than myself but there are different chemo options for everyone and if she takes to one well then it could have great benefits! Yes I know all about cyberknife but mine has spread to an extent that is not an option for obvous reasons  :)
