Ok, in the grand scheme of things, this is by far
an innocent/benign symptom of my husband's
almost 5 yr battle w/ AA3, radiation, gamma knife,
Temodar, clinical trial, 3 craniotomies and Avastin,
but I find this intriguing--he counts all the time--
with varying patterns, but usually following a sing-songy
pattern(ex...when he walks, he'll count each step like,
"1,2,3,4 and-uh-5,6,7,8 and -uh-1,2,3,4.....
The number patterns always vary, but he finds himself
doing it all the time. Anyone else experience this?
This is the least significant of his symptoms,
yet the one I find most interesting.
So does my hubby! If I say we are going to leave at 4, he comes back with 1...2...3...4. Ok ....4. It is very wierd. Although numbers, dates and times are what he struggles with the most. His is in the left parietal. But, yes, in the overall picture, a minor thing
That's what I thought--something triggered an OCD tendency.
He doesn't know why he does it; it simply pops into his head.
He thinks that his brain is no longer active like it
used to be when he was working, so it engages in this
repetitive action. His tumor originated in the left
frontal lobe, but has spread through corpus collusum
and into right frontal lobe.
