Can you please tell me who helped you in your case? My father, a Vietnam vet, died of colon cancer at age 58. Thank you.

My mom has also been unsuccessful with my Dad's VA claim. He died of Stage IV Colon Cancer in 2009 and my Mom has been desperately seeking benefits ever since. He was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam as the VA has already acknolwedged his exposure, but they will not recognize the connection between colon cancer and agent orange. How did you finally win your claim?!?! Please, any info would help so much!

My husband is also a Vietnam Vet who has stage 4 colon cancer and was repeatedly sprayed with agent orange. Please help us also with this issue. This is not a disease that is listed to have a link but he has not particular family history or other risk factors. We believe there is a link. Christine

Hi

My name is Larry and I have a claim going on right now. It's my second go around with them. I have had colon cancer and I am a V.N. Vet. Can you offer any light  on your case that might help? I am very sorry for your loss.

Thanks Larry

Well just that Dave, my husband, was in the areas sprayed, actually drank water from rice patties in the area. He has stage 4 and had no family history. So it had to come from other causes. He is not a big red meat eater, exercised daily and had good medical care so I would guess that an outside factor had to be at work here in causing this aggressive cancer. He is only 68. He also has heart disease which we also listed as qualifier. So they turned you down? Dave is still with me but he is getting thin and worn out from treatment. Thanks for reply, Christine

Yes why did they finally grant it. I guess we need to prepare for a fight. Jeez isn't it enough to have cancer and suffer. Not fair. Did the doctor write a letter. Christine

My husband had his colon removed 12 years ago and has had intestinal issues since then.  He was in Vietnam in 1968.  All the messages I've seen indicate that colon cancer is not on the list and therefore no benefits are given for this.  After seeing your message, I saw that there may be hope.  Do you know if colon cancer has finally gotten on the list?  We have been unable to find a recent list.

Thanks, Laura
