my dad was diagnosed with a low grade bladder cancer 3 yrs ago and responded well to BCG. It returned again a yr and a half ago, but again BCG worked. Just today his check-up showed that there is now a blockage into the kidney from the ureter. We won't know much until the labs come back, but I am really nervous so I would like to know if anyone has experienced anything similar and how they responded. Right now it seems pretty sure the kidney will come out along with the ureter. The bladder looked good but the dr took scrapings anyway, so hopefully it will be ok, and there was also a pollop on his uretha, which again, hopefully is nothing. If anyone has any experiences with any of these things, I would really appreciate any advice/ help you can share. Thank you and God Bless.

my dad had bladder cancer and had his bladder out one year ago. he had a blockage from his ueter to the bladder whcih they first tried to treat by laser sugery. that didnt work so they opened him up again and cut away scar tissue. the sugery wasnt too bad and worked so far. i will tell you that our doctor is very agressive with bladder cancer but ours was high grade. good luck and let me know what is happening. perhaps your dads is due to scar tissue also.
