Essiac Tea

Hello All,

I was diagnosed stage III EC in 2/11.  A nurse friend of mine who is an RN that works at a major hospital here in California told me that they had several stage IV patients that were told there was nothing else they could do for them that started drinking Essiac tea and they did very well.  She insisted that I start drinking the tea immediately after I was diagnosed.  I did chemo and radiation and have been N.E.D. (no evidence of disease) for 18 months now.  I recommend the Essiac tea to everyone I know that has cancer.  I will continue drinking it for the rest of my life.

I originally posted this on another discussion but it did not go to the top of the board so I am reposting it.

You'll need to order it online. Do a google search. There's a company in Canada that sells it, that Rene Caisse, the woman who developed the tea, gave her recipe to

essiactea dot org should be the one

I've heard about Essiac, but have also heard it can have side effects. One of them being a constant cough, I would love to put my husband onto Essiac ,but I'm afraid to ,incase it causes other problems.Glad it has worked for you.

Hello,

I have been drinking Essiac Tea twice a day for 2 years including the entire time I went through to different chemo regiments and radiation.  During that time I have not experienced any side effects from the tea.  However, I had many horrible side effects from the chemo and radiation.

Take care,

Alan

Hello Chrisandlorie,

I purchase my Essiac tea from a local health food store in Temecula CA. The Brand I buy is Herbal Solutions Rene Caisse Formula.  I prefer it becuase it comes in a bag with 4 packets that each contain enough tea to brew about 1 quart with is enough for 1 week.

I have also ordered it on-line at:

www.Essiac-Tea.org

Take care

Alan

Hi there! I am a 43 year old male and I have stage iv adenocarcinoma at GI junction with mets to liver and lymph nodes. I have had 8 bi-weekly chemos of 5fu and cpt11 with Cyramza. I've been taking the essiac tea twice a day the entire time with no side effects from it. My cancer markers are now way down (ca19-9 at 29 down from 139 and cea at 38 down from 268). I believe in the essiac tea and also curcumin  (root and supplement) and low sugar/carb diet. I have scans scheduled for next week with targeted treatment likely thereafter.

Hi Alan

Cancer Research UK cites several research studies over the years that have found Essaic has no proven benefits.

http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/cancers-in-gene

Did the nurse have any research she pointed you to that suggested otherwise?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Cheers!
