I was wondering the same thing. Also, would any of Mannatech's products help. OR, add fuel to the fire? If MM is a plasma cell gone outta control, would supplements that are supposed to increase cell communication help or hurt???

please add me to your list on any information you may receive on this subject. My partner has been diagnosed with mm and is 46 years of age.

Apart from a high igg and increased bone marrow he has remained stable and in good health for the past two years. however he feels like a ticking time bomb as no one can tell him if or indeed when things will change for him. Many thanks, Gillian.

I am very familiar with Mannatech products.  I believe they help your body's ability to fight cancer.  I have spoken to the lead research physician and he has seen amazing results in mulitiple myeleoma patients.  I take classic ambrotose two tablespoons twice daily, PLUS 2times daily, AO 2 times daily, PHYTOALOE 3 caps twice daily, PHYTOMATRIX, 2 times daily.  I also take ginger caps daily, tumeric caps daily.  The ginger and tumeric are not MANNATECH products but help with the inflammatory parts of the disease.  So far my Myleoma has stayed inactive.  It is my personal belief that alternative supplementation of vitamins and trace elements can only enhance out body's ability to correct the disease.  The new reasearch from John's Hopkins that found cancer stem cells in myleoma patients is amazing.  I believe that enhanced cell communication with help fight our disease.  Please let me know if you have other questions.

I am in the same situation as your partner.  I completely understand the ticking time bomb feeling.  On the other hand it does give a special appreciation of everyday we feel good.  I can't tell how much I took health granted and I am a nurse!! I should have known better.  Keep vigilant and yet we can't let it run our lives or the cancer wins before the battle begins.  I take supplements to help my body fight.  Some of those include ginger caps and tumeric.  My doctor at Mayo in Rochester feels that inflammation much like Rhuematoid fuels the fire for Myleoma.  They have done extensive research and clinical trials for patients with Smoldering Myleoma.  That is what the stage I is called.  I also take glyconutrients to help my cells communicate and correct damaged cells on its own.  I also believe that supplements help to prevents some of the side effects of medication given to fight this disease.  I hope this helps.

Dear Cindy

Many thanks for your kind reply. We will give your advice a try. To be honest it's a comfort to be in contact with someone else who understands how you feel. Best wishes

Gillian.
