Hi,
I sincerely suggest you get the Ty Bollinger book, Cancer, Step
Outside the Box. Also, go to Bill Henderson's website. He's very
helpful too. Ty also has a site and he is extremely kind. I'm sure
you could find answers starting there.
Sincerely,
Julie

I have been treated by a naturopathic physician who is able to
determine which systems/organs need to be addressed. Many of
the herbs, minerals, techniques etc. that we read about are good,
but what works for one may not work for another. I did try to go
at it myself, follow what Bill Henderson or others have
recommended, but was not completely feeling healthy. I
encourage you to find a N.D. who is licensed by one of the 4
certified schools in the U.S. They are really the ones who have the
training to discover and understand your individual needs.

Hi:
Instead of chemo,I am taking the Maitake Mushroom D-Fraction, it makes more sense to take something that supposedly targets cancer cells rather than chemo which blasts ALL fast-growing cells. So far, my tumor markers remain low.....

As you can see from the replies, there are many options. The confusing part comes when you try to choose one. I would suggest following up on the doctors recommended. I also found a nice book--I think the title is Alternative Approach to Cancer. It's published by Alternative Medicine, and it's available on Amazon.

The best thing is to keep asking questions and researching. Keep a good attitude too. I hope you find the alternative treatment which works best for you.

Hello, I haven't taken any of those medicines, but I know the company that makes Ambrotose is Mannatech, and a company called Herbspro has access to most of the others. I recognize a lot of the names of products you mention from their website and from my reading about cancer. You can learn a lot about the products from their website, too.

Best wishes,

Subject: Mushrooms, Fractionated Pectin Etc.

I get mushroom products from a website suggested by a nutrionist at a cancer conference. The website is www.fungiperfecti.com They have several different individual and combined types of mushrooms which means there can be fewer to take.
I get Thornes Fractionated Citrus Pectin from several different websites, just put the name in a search engine. Some will only sell to medical professionals, but many don't ask any questions. I buy this in powdered form as it would take so many capsules to get the suggested dose. One scoop (included)) contains the daily dose. I put it in a smoothie for my partner who has stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. Nearly 3 years ago she was given 6 months to 2 years to live. Something is working, natural, traditional? Who knows, who cares? The important thing is she is still here and relatively healthy. Another hint...get a good oncologist, preferably one who is also doing clinical trials. I hear folks saying all the time that their initial one just gave them a death sentence and gave them some same old same old treatment. Ours is great, and never runs out of alternatives. Also, we have found some of the side effects of chemo can be prevented by the use of daily supplements. For example, many people have to have potasium infusions (painful), after the first one I solved the problem with a daily potasium supplement. Similarly, iron...they give you $3,000. shots to keep you from becoming enemic. This seems to work only a while, and then a blood transfusion is required (takes all day). After the first time this happened I began giving my partner 58 mg. of iron daily...she hasn't been enemic since.
Hope this is helpful...and good luck.

Hi,

There are many options out there for alternative types of treatments. The key is finding one that works for you. I had a pancreatic tumor that spread to my liver. It's a long story, but Ambrotose from Mannatech helped me. Check out the website Glycoscience.org. Glyconutrients are nutrients/supplements that supply your body with the food it needs to heal itself and work properly. Follow what makes sense to you. Kim
