I am having a hard time with a spot on my top palate. About 2 months ago it became somewhat big, painful and affected the way I ate and even made my teeth hurt. I thought I had an abcess. It stayed that way for about a week and my dentist said he didn't know why it was doing that but it wasn't my teeth and sometimes things like that just happen and it should go away. It did go away for the most part but there is still a small bump with raised thin lines around it. It is very hard to explain but it is no longer painful and did get a lot smaller. I realized the other day that it has been 2 months and then I started to worry. I guess my question is... if this was a tumor (I've looked into a minor salivary tumor and that seems to describe it the best which scares me) would it have become big and painful and then gone away for the most part leaving behind a smaller and no longer painful spot? I can't find ANYTHING that could be the cause besides a tumor. I'm very scared because I am 24 weeks pregnant. I am going to see my dentist tommorrow. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
