Subject: Second Opinion Chemo postponed? Why postpone and have lull in treatment?
Date: 09/04/2003
I was wondering how to go about obtaining a second opinion without stopping current treatment or switching doctors right now if needed. Where do you look who do you call? What do you need? etc I was also wondering how to go about finding an x-ray that has dissapeared and after contacting 3 different hospitals its still no where to be found. Any tips on how to narrow the search and questions to ask reguarding its whereabouts. Also wondering if anyone has had chemotherapy cancelled for more than 2 weeks and what the reason for that is. Chemo was cancelled so that "you will be stronger for next week and you will receive both dosages this week" no more nausea no more diarrhea for a week and some days now and treatment would liek to be started however doctor says wait until next week he could fit me in today but wants to wait and get stronger for the 6 hours treatment isn't that a bad idea to have a lull in treatment unless its for some huge reason that doesn't show improvement and treatment is put off until symptoms dissapear well symptoms have and still no chemo given any advice confused? If you could help with all answers I would be greatful.
Thanks
