I am 69 years old, recent blood test indicated a PSA of 17.5. I assume that indicates a strong probability of cancer. Since this reading about 3 weeks ago, I started an intense program of juice fasting, hydrotherapy, herbal therapy, exercise, hot and cold fomentation and partial vegetarian diet. Just yesterday I did another test to see if I was making headway, my PSA reading was 16.5. I am determined to follow a naturopathic approach to this cancer rather than the traditional invasive treatments that have all these bizarre side effects. Is there anyone out there who has tried this approach and had success? I would appreciate ant news or advice. Jay

No, I have not. I am 67 and in my 30 of 40 IMRT radiation treatments.
The Oncologist, at my request, will look into Zyclamend herbal
which is being tested by out east. Baltimore?
This would be in addition to the treatments.

I would suggest, for a total natural approach, to try the protocol as suggested by Larry Pope at Nutrition2000 (www.nutrition2000.com)and you can also talk with a consultant at 877-393-4468. I have had some success with this, along with dietary changes, although not finished with it.
You will find this a good source of info.

Although I have not tried it, there is also another treatment called Ukrain (named after the former Soviet republic, without the 'e'). I understand this has to be administered interveineously. A naturopathic physician in your area may know about this, one who is willing to treat cancer. Good Luck.

I have been taking prostasol for the last two/three months, my psa did come down significantly, but I developed tenderness in breasts as well as little swelling. please advise if anybody has that experience. my oncoplgist from major US research clinic speciiasing in prostate research made this statement
"prostosol has estrogen component which causes you the breast tenderness"

How are you doing to date with your diet and PSA reading? Have you thought of trying Cessium?
Or Dr. Gerson or Dr. Budwig diets?

Sept 1998 I had prostate cancer that went into my lower spine, left 5-6-7th ribs, and my left lumbar and my doctors told me with radiation they could give me at least one year, but I turn down the radiation and the drugs that would go with the radiation and I went to the Bahamas for alternative treatment where they use my own immune system. My last Bone Scan & MRI I only have a little bit of cancer left in the upper right hand side of my prostate and it has been six yeras and I feel great no more pain that I had back in Sept 1998. You can check out my treatment by going to their web site as follows: www.immunemedicine.com I do take my vitamins and supplements and I also take chelation for my heart which also takes out the heavy metals in my body.

As I mentioned my PSA came down significantly as low as .4, after taking Prostasol for the last seven month from a average of 15/16 PSA. for the last two years when a had biopsy GS 3+3 or 3+4.
Does it also means my cancer size is also reduced. Please advise as I am confused as the PSA numbers relation to cancer size.
Thanks.
