We brought my dad home yesterday with hospice and it is so hard. They put him on Methadone for pain control and he is so tired. He will be in the middle of a sentence and start falling asleep. They give us a few weeks but I dont think we will have him by next week. It makes it so much harder with Christmas being here. I can only hope and pray now that he goes quickly and without alot of pain. Please keep me in your prayers.

i am so very sorry to hear about your dad. My mum has mutiple myeloma which is an incurable cancer. She is currently in hospital with pneumonia so she cant start a new drug until she is better. I can only imagine your pain and upset right now. There are no words I can say except we lost a family friend to Lukemia 2 weeks ago and he went very peaceful, he went to sleep and didnt wake up. I hope it is this way for your dad. Try and be strong and I will keep u in my thoughts. xxx mandy

I am also a Daddy's girl. I cannot imagine your pain. I was daignosed with breast cancer in June, and the hardest part was my daughters' pain even though my prognosis is good . You will be in my prayers.

Thank you for the message. Well its next week and dad is still with us. I have been staying with my parents and it has been a very emotional week. The changes in my dad are daily. It is soooooooo hard to watch  my big strong dad just waste away. He has been such a trooper though this all. I just can pray that the suffering is almost over. someone said to me the other day that maybe we would get one more Christmas and I feel bad about hoping that last Christmas's memories will be the ones I think of when I think of dad. keep us in your prayers.

Hi I have posted here before about my husbands colon cancer, and I read all the other posts but I hardly ever reply. , but yours caught my attention. My husband (38) was brought home 2 weeks ago to spend the rest of his life with our family. He also is on hospice, and as you know it is really hard.My husband went from 210LBS. to now barley 90lbs. It is so hard to watch the person you love suffer so much.We have 3 young girls, and this will be the last  Christmas with their Daddy. You are not alone and I feel your pain, just spend as much quality time as you can with him.I tell my husband 1,000 times a day how much I love him,It is never easy going through something like this , but it seems twice as hard during Christmas.I will keep your family in my prayers, because with God all things are possible.Remember you are not alone, keep Faith! Well I lost Dad on the 20th of January. No matter how prepared you think you are you are not. He was such a trooper though it all. I will miss him soooo much I am just so glad I could take care of him and kept him comfortable right to the end.
