One Year!!!!

MY MOM IS CELEBRATING ONE-YEAR TODAY! 12.19.2005 marks the day when her first CT Scan revealed the GBM. Her surgery was 1.11.2006. I can't believe a whole year has gone by... it F-L-E-W by!

May we ALL share MANY years of beating this monster and celebrating great times!

365 days! you go day by day  :) your mother is a real fighter. you should be proud of her!! but also, don't forget about yourself. You've been there fighting with her too!. I wish the best for you and your mom. keep fighting, don't give GBM a break!

Thanks! We're going for our MRI tomorrow and then to see the doctor.  I'm wondering what she'll say.... 

She's been on Gleevec/Hydroxyurea for a month and a half- since 10.31.06 so I'm curious if it's working.  It can shrink the tumor- in fact inb many patients it does- but it can also stablize the disease, which is just as great! As long as it doesn't progress and grow who cares what's happening in there! 

Wish us luck for tomorrow... I'm a bit nervous, you know? Hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst...although you can never be prepared, eh?
