I want to thank everyone that responded to what I could expect in the last stages of this disease.  My mother passed away on Friday, December  15th.  She was diagnosed in the second week of October.  It took a little over 2 months for the beast to beat her.  She was in horrible pain on Thursday thru Friday a.m.  The morphine (which was given every hour) and anxiety drugs (every two hours) really did not alleviate the pain.  She feel asleep finally at 5:30 a.m. and passed away by 8:30 a.m.

I very grateful for the support I received on this site.

 Thank you.

Hello Thank you,

My sister and I are caregivers to my mother.  She has lung cnacer and was actually in pretty good shape until a few days after Christmas.  Then all of a sudden she went into a nose dive and currently sleeps all day and gives quick one word answers and eats and drinks very little.  I dont konw what ot expect next.  Hospice came in the other day and scared the hell out of me saying she has weeks to days left.  Any help you can give me about what I can expect next would be so helpful.  Im sorry for your loss and hope your doing ok.

Thank you

John
