Prognosis?

Subject: Prognosis?
Date: 12/23/2006

I am asking about stage 3 (or maybe more by now) stomach cancer that has spread to the bowel.  Chemo didn' t have much effect.  An experimental treatment at a specialized cancer hospital didn't do anything, so operating is next.  What would likely be the life expectancy/ development of this after surgery?  It would be pointless to do chemo I would think if it didn't work the first time?

Any thoughts?
