You should get an another opinion at a university based medical center, where your case would be presented to a head and neck tumor board. Some institutions try an organ preservation approach where the patient is given a course of chemo and then evaluated to see if there has been some response to the chemo. If there is response (there is usually a certain percentage of tumor shrinkage they are looking for) proceed with radiation and chemo, if not then surgery. You can always have your larynx removed if you don't respond to the therapy. Not vice versa. Good Luck.
