My mother, age 76, was just diagnosed last month with NSCLC when she ended up having a partial colon resection, Stage IIA---to look at her, you would never know. After heart bypass surgery in 1997, and several major strokes, she is doing great. Still totally independent.
Has anyone come across any studies specfically dealng with Stage IV squamous cell NSCLC? I see that most studies lump all of the non small cancers together and I feel that the life expectancy rates (with or without chemo treatment) may not be representing this type fairly.
Does anyone have any experence n this area that they can share?
Thanks,
