Hi cjtraas,

Are you Dr. Chris on the advertisement for Vemma?

Is mangosteen juice safe for a cancer patient w/diabetes? Aside from my cousin, I also have diabetes and have been using the juice but I am now about to change to capsules. I was drinking 15ml twice daily; each time it spiked my sugar and resulted in hours of monitoring & shots just to get under control again.

I would really like to recommend mangosteen to my cousin, but I'm afraid that all the added juices (sugar) used for flavor in other brands of mangosteen juice will make him feel worse than he already does. The advertisement for Vemma did have an ingredient list posted unless I some how overlooked it.

Any reason I should recommend mangosteen juice instead of capsules?

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner...I just found this message.  Anyway, Vemma has helped people with all sorts of problems, including diabetes.  In the nutritional information (not part of added ingredients) there is about 8g of "sugars" per serving.  This sugar content does come from the natural ingredients added.  To see the whole ingredient list, go to www.totallyvemma.com and click on "Order and Info" at the top.  Then click on "Ingredients" on the right hand side under the "Important Links" heading.  If you need any more help, me email address is listed on the site.  Thanks.
