My father was originally dx w/stage four EC Feb 2002. He went through radiation and chemo then had surgery in June 2002. Late Dec 2006 he broke his collar bone and now the EC has returned in his lymphnodes and possibly the bone....currently he is having radiation and possibly will start chemo? Anyone else been through this?

hi sara,

i'm replying to ur message. i'm going through the same thing ur going through right now. my dad has been diagnosed with ec stage 4 1/16/07.  it' s been so hard. i cry everyday, because i fell he is not getting any better. i feel he's getting worst. it's only me and my mom that is doing everything to help him and give him support, but it's hard. but i take it one a day at a time. we have to be strong for him because if he see us crying he would cry to... and i don't wan't him to cry.

Shay - it's ok to cry. You are obviously trying to find anything you can for your Dad. i found this site just a couple months, and it is a big help. Keep looking, ask alot of questions and always remember the doctors are not always right the first time. Trust yourself, love your Dad. And it is okay to cry in front of him once in awhile. He needs to know how much you love him. Sometimes it gives them the strength to keep going. But you will need times where you and your Mom may have to take a drive, and just talk and cry. It's not easy - pray alot and keep hope in your heart. Thoughts of you and your Mom will come into my day at times, hoping you are ok - Great Big hug to you both.
