My mom has a strange cancer and I can’t seem to find out much about. It’s primary peritoneal carcinoma. I have read about this Ip6 and was wondering if it is really as good as it says. My mom’s ca-125 has been going down from originally 2938 to 91 since March of this year but now is climbing and is 111. She is weak and tires a lot. She also has diabetic neuropathy. It seems her blood is never right when its time to have the chemo so she always has to wait another week. I would like to get my mom this Ip6 any information to help my mom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Deb R.

Hi, I would say that it is better to use IP6 than nothing, certainly. That said, there are better things for you to try. One of them is transfer factors plus (developed by 4life) which actually has IP6 as one of the ingredients -according to their baseline tests it thrashes the pants of IP6 alone. Good quality (bio-bran) MGN 3 is also, IMHO, far more potent. Other products to take a look at are Immuni -t and Oncolyn. The name IP6 seems to be thrown around a lot (I not sure what the particular motivation is); regardless, I would check out the ones mentioned above first. Good luck, Conrad

Thanks Conrad, How do I no what to get her. I feel kind of lost not knowing which is best for her and also do you no anything about these kind of products mixing with other medicines or how I would find out. Should she see some nutritionist or is it ok to just get it. Any info would be great. Her doctor doesn’t want her to take anything like this why is he so against it?

Hi Deborah, It is not for me, not being a medical professional, to tell you which one is best for your mother in her situation. Therefore, I shall tell you what I would tell anybody in your position: Type in each name I mentioned in your search engine and read all about the product (entering the name followed by "research", "criticisms" etc. can give you some interesting insights from people other that the manufactures, who will be biased). Also, try as many forums and cancer sites as you can (conventional and alternative) and search for reviews and views on the product. When you understand more about how each one works, and decide on certain other factors (although a hundred times cheaper than chemo, these things are not free), get all of the information together. Then take it to your mother's oncologist and ask him to explain why your mother should not take whichever product. I have never heard of any contraindications with such items, but I could be wrong. Unfortunately people hold so much store in doctors opinions as to be almost awestruck; and although they should be respected as professionals, they are not above being pig arrogant regarding something they know nothing about. I have witnessed their errors too many times to take whatever they say as fact (I come from a medical family and sometimes work with doctors). Besides, these products are immunology based, so why should an oncologist, who has to keep up-to-date with his/her own expertise, know much about them? If he is dismissive, go see and immunologist. Good luck, Conrad

Dearest Conrad, Thank you so very much for the information. I am very scared and feel that I am not doing everything I can. You have giving me some insight on what I need to do and I am now on a new mission. I feel like I am on track again and I will explore all these things we talked about. Lets talk again soon. You are in my thoughts I hope all is well with you! Deborah R
