Subject: tarceva effects
Date: 01/24/2007
My mom was on tarceva 250 for 14 days and was fine, by the 20th day she had a beet red face like a severe burn, and it burned and so hot. She stopped tarceva for now. Everything burned her face, any lotion, oil, Clindmycin...so she didn't use. Just used water and aloe vera gel, and 5 days later she puts some mineral oil on. The redness is almost gone, but the skin is flaking constantly like recovering from a sunburn. It is much better, but still healing. Earlier we tried the Eucerin cream which helped so much initially, but then we thought maybe THAT was aggrevating it, as she is allergic to wool clothing so maybe she is allergic to the lanolin alchohol in the Eucerin, because it got so bad. Hers was not a rash, but a burn. DId anyone else have this?  Trying to find out if it could have been the E. cream we put on that did aggrevate it, or was it just her bodies reaction to the tarceva.  You couldn't keep up with this, it is dangerous for your skin and eyes.thanks.
