Newly diagnosed stromal sarcoma

I was diagnosed with Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma - low grade - just a few months ago.     I am 47 years old & interested in what I need to watch for in terms of physical symptons for recurrence.   I'm seeing a gynological oncologist every 3 months, but looks like he's recommending a cat scan and chest xray only once a year.   Is that typical?    Thanks for any feedback.

Hello !

I'm Aurica from Romania. In the summer I had surgery during which the doctors descovered an endometrial stroma sarcoma, low malignancy. Only mine has a very high speed of growing. Two months from the surgery ( a total hysterectomy), it grew back. After some other therapies, I started fight against it using Gerson therapy. Only for that I changed my entire life. I think it works and day by day I feel better. I wish you all the best!

Aurica,

Thank you for your reply.   Stromal Sarcoma is so rare, you are the first person to respond to my question!  Thank you.  Tell me about the Gerson therapy.   Was your sarcoma a high grade or a low grade?  When were you diagnosed?    When your cancer returned, what symptons did you have to alert you that it had returned?

My sarcoma is a low grade, but doctors did find traces of it in my lymphatic channels - which puts me at a greater risk for recurrence.  My diagnosis was in June 2006.   I don't worry about recurrence, but it is hard to competely put it out of my mind.

Thank you for sharing more about your story with me.  I would love to hear more.
