My dad was on Navelbine with Cisplatin.  He was on chemo for about 6 months.  He did have alot of nausea and vomiting the last few cycles.  We did just find out on Feb 7  (first treatment Aug 5) that his Stage IV lung cancer is now in remission.

Good luck,

Tracey

My father has been on Navelbine for 2 months and I'm happy to say he is doing great. He really has not had any side effects of course everyone is different. Ct scan showed that his tumor has shrunk by 2 cm. His doctor is very happy and he will continue his Navelbine treatment. He does have to take Neulasta and Procrit b/c his blood counts sometimes dip down. So far so good. Hope this helps.

My Husband received navelbine and cystplatin after surgical removal of the apex of his left lung. Unfortunatley, the cancer came back in four more places. Now he's on carboplatin and taxol. The tumors seem to be shrinking with these drugs. He takes nulasta and a drug to increase the red blood cells. This is such a terrible disease; it's seems doctors just don't know what to do. The tumors just keep coming back.
