My mother was recently diagnosed wiith stage 4 liver cancer, but we were also told she had cancer of unknown primary. Her dr. gave her 6-12 months. She wants to fight and has a positive attitude when she isn't overwhelmed with pain. She was supposed to start chemo today and the dr. office did not call for the appointment. I do not know what to do. She refuses to change docs and this is killing us. He did call her in a new /stronger pain medicine since the pain patch she has been using does not eem to work. We are supporting her without smothering her. She also seems to be in denial. The firstscan showed a mass the size of a tennis ball now we are being told that the second scan (i week later) it is the size of a grapefruit. I understand medicine is not an exact science but this seems horrible at best. Please help.

I don't know what hospital you go to, but I'm a strong supporter of second opinions and going to a good hospital.  I was stage IV colon cancer with mets to the liver.  I was told I could die at any moment, had 18 months tops.  I then went to a top hospital.  That was July of '04 and so far no evidence of cancer.

Even on the national news this morning.  A study proved that people who go to top hospitals have a 28% higher survival rate than those who don't.

You can check out your hospital at health grades or you can also go to this site

Hi,

That is terrible especially since my mother was treated the same way until she died of liver cancer on November 9,2006. I discovered too late that there was something that I was taking for cancer also called HMS90. It is recommended for liver & lung cancers & aids patients , it shrinks tiumors. Anyway I do not have cancer anymore , it was stage 4 gleeson 9 with PSA of 128.

It is the safest most natural supplement you can take . It boosts your immune system and elevates your glutathione level. Try it you will like it , I only hope it's not too late ...

If you have time, here is a good thing to read, you can also ask for it in book form.

http://www.blochcancer.org/

Go to aritcles and then click on info for patients and then click on fighting cancer.

In Chapter 4 you will find this paragraph.

Therefore, every reasonable effort should be made to locate the primary. After you have exhausted all second opinions locally without success or agreement, you should suggest to your pathologist that he send your slides to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D.C. Operated by the U.S. government, their services are completely free. They have equipment that is state-of-the-art and often superior to what is available elsewhere. An information desk is open 24 hours a day at (202) 782-2759.

Anyhow, I found a lot of great info on that site.

I would like to give your mother hope.  In January I was diagnosed with cancer in the liver, although I believe the cells had been growing for a few months.  For three weeks I've taken Salicinium infusions at Dr. Forsythe's office in Reno, NV.  For the rest of this month I'm taking the capsule version of Salicinium.  After the three weeks, I believe the tumor has reduced in size because my CA27.29 has gone down 4.8 points.  In early March I'll have another CAT scan so we can see if the tumor is gone altogether, which I expect.

Patients of Dr. Forsythe's have experienced unbelievable success in fighting all kinds of cancer - brain, breast, spine, liver, et cetera. Please go to www.burtongoldberg.com for info on the young girl from Texas who sought the services of Dr. Forsythe.  His website is www.drforsythe.com.

God bless you and your mother.

My wife starts treatments with Dr. Forsythe next week.  Could you give me an update on how things have worked out for you so far?

Thanks
