Hi kaye!
My husband has GBM ( most malignant brain cancer) sometimes called terminator. 1-3% survive 5 yrs and and are flukes. He's going into 1 yr since dx, had two surgeries went through standard therapy, clinical trial and now standard therapy for reccurrence. Past year has been tough physically and financially. Right now he's looking OK with very minimal deficits since the second surgery. But the disease is like a time bomb that could go off anytime. Everyone's asking if I'm ready should it happen. I'll never be ready. I want him with me in this life for as long as it takes as normal as possible. What can I tell you that's different from others that will make an impact? The "be strong, hang-on,pray.."bit? I'm getting weary.
But I have my chance to laugh too. Cancer humor. Sometimes only I could understand and others may find gross. It is my coping. Got to go. He's awake now.
