Subject: A day to rejoice
Date: 01/30/2007

It seems with everything we all have to deal with; surgery, radiation, medicines, etc...I have a day to rejoice.  After my surgery in July 06 I ended with a trach due to complications.  The trach finally came out but I have had problems breathing and my voice was horrible and useless because of a paralyzed vocal cord.  Today I had a procedure where my doctor injected colligen into my vocal cord.  It was the most pleasant thing to go through, but what a rejoiceful moment.  I can breath so well now and my voice is so much  better.  I called our kids after it was done and they couldn't believe it.  The said I sounded like my old self again.  This has been a day to rejoice and now I know things are only going to continue to get better.

Good luck to all of you out there who are going through tough times right now - iit get's better!

Hooray!!! I'm so glad to hear your voice is back to normal.  I can't wait for my voice to be normal.  I'm still having breathing problems and I sound like a kid right now.  My situation is different from yours, but I will be patient and wait my turn.  God heals us in good time. So, how did you celebrate?  Did you sing out loud?  Just kidding!!  Take Care & God Bless.
