| I just read your message and if anyone gives you any answers- please let me know.. Is your dad's cancer in his bones or did it metastasize in them.. i am trying to figure all of this out myself.. my husband has stage IV nasopharayngeal cancer which by the time we found it had metastacized in his bones... he has three tumors down his vetebra, tumors in both shoulders, breastbone, both hips, multiple ribs and in his legs... he is undergoing chemo - no radiation.. the doctors have said it is incurable and first told us that we could expect six months to two years... but we have seen one tumor in his neck drastically reduce.. we want to take this as a good sign.. but the doctors are hesitant to rethink their prognosis as that was not the primary tumor site.. we are undergoing aggressive chemo (every 21 days) but have had to postpone several treatments due to other complications... blood clots, etc.... he had a port put in for the chemo and it went south on us- he developed dvt and we had to have it removed.. they've placed a new port in him yesterday - but had to try three different spots before they could get one in - finally placed it in his neck.. but the surgery has set us back another two weeks on starting his chemo on time.... I like you, am worried and wish that someone who has been through this could give some insight on what is to be expected. |

Hi, I hope you can give me some insight also, my father had stage iv nasopharyngeal cancer and was treated with radiation and chemo (cisplatin) that ended in November of 2006. We have just been informed that he now has secondary bone cancer, and will be underoing some radiation and chemo towards the end of this month. I hope we can share our experiences. I wish you all the best.
