Hep C And Cirrhosis

Subject: Hep C and Cirrhosis
Date: 02/02/2007

My husband has recently been diagnosed with Hep C and a liver biopsy has put him in stage 4 cirrhosis. The doctor has not yet done any tests for liver cancer, but has expressed concern about it. My husband just had his gall bladder removed due to stones and infection, and a stent will be removed in 2 weeks. He feels better and shows no serious physical signs of disease. He is worried though that he is loosing his concentration and ability to think clearly and it will affect his job. He is 54. What are the possibilties that he has or will develope liver cancer, and what are the treatment options? This is very frightening.
