I was 49 in July of last year when I had LRP. My PSA was around 4.7 and Gleason 3 + 3 prior to surgery. I was non detectable at a 3 month blood test and I am greatful.  My main concerns I expressed to the surgeon prior to surgery were incontenience and ED. It will be 7 months this February and although the incontenience is all but gone there is still virtually no erection. The surgeon came very highly recommended and has over 1000 procedures to date and had said six to 9 months for someone my age was average for return of erectile ability. He did not encourage any other type of therapy such as pills, pumps etc to assist the ED  along. I am feeling pretty abandon and not sure what I should expect. This has had an enormous impact on me psychologically. Has anyone had a similar experience and could offer me some encouragmenet?
