Hi, My name is Donna and my dad was diagnosed with 4th stage rectal that has mets to liver and lungs on 12-29-06. He is currently in the hospital, in isolation. He is receiving nuprogen shots at this time. He may have resection surgery next week but that depends on blood work.. He is currently on liquid diet because of obstructions. When he has bowel movements they are just blood and mucus. I live about 500 miles from him and have 3 children.. I want to be with my dad but what do I do??? I talk with him daily and my step mom keeps me greatly informed. My dad is only 63 yrs old and I am the only child. I was there is December when he received his diagnosis. Any helpful hints from anyone I would appreciate it. I have enjoyed reading the message boards so far. Thanks again and may God bless you. Donna
