Subject: can anyone help me?

my friend was diagnosed to have uterine cancer.How can i help her ease her fears? she was asked for another specimen. i wonder what is this for? is this diffrent from biopsy? please tell me more information about caring for patients like this.she blleeds for more than 4 months now and that she finds the color very unusual...brown?
