Just read of this treatment in a newsletter put out by Robert J Rowen MD! Sure sounds like it could be a winner! Anyone else heard or expierenced this? Says that only about 20 physicians in the US now qualified to give it, including him.
Sure would like to know more, quick!

Hi David,
I also think this treatment sounds promising, especially for my girlfriend, who has had enough chemo already; I even took the information with me to the clinic so that the oncologist could see it.
He refused to read it, claiming that he knew of the procedure and that, for him, it did not add up.
It is very strange that, should an insulin response leave cancer cells in a more vulnerable condition (and the science adds up, requiring a serious refutation), it is not instigated anyway, even with a full dose of chemo. The cynic in me (which grows larger by the day) understands that, should this lower dosage treatment catch on, the cancer industry would be set to lose hundreds-of-millions in drug revenues.
Speak to your oncologist, then make your mind up.
Good luck,
Conrad
Hi David,
I would like to read this newsletter. Can you tell me where I could find it. I would like to show it to my husband's oncologist to see if this might help him.
Thanks, Anna
I have only read the advertisement that was sent to me thru the mail, but have got the newsletter ordered which includes the booklet about IPT, even supposedly tells where the Dr that do this are at and their tlelphone numbers, etc so you can contact them!
When I get this would be glad to give you any info out of it that you wanted!
David
Hi David,
Thanks, and yes I would love to get more information. My husband was diagnosed with SCLC in Dec., 1999. His latest scan shows that the tumor grew by 1cm. We don't know what other options we have for further treatmens.
Thanks again and God bless.
Anna
Hi August and Anna! Still haven't received the info about IPT but have searched the Internet and come up with the following links to info about it!
http://www.cancure.org/insulin_potentiation_therapy.htm
http://www.newvitality.com/insulin.html
Hope you can find what you want from these and if you want I will, IF I get the info, send you what I get on it!
Good luck and God Bless

Hi David,
Thanks so much for all of the information you gave us. We just found out that the tumor in his lung grew by 1cm after being stable for almost 3yrs. The Dr. is going to try Iressa. Hopefully this will help. However, I still want to talk to his Dr. about this insulin therapy. As you know, we can never have enough information on this horrible decease. I'm afraid my Husband is getting depressed and will give up hope and not go for any kind of treatment. Our Son is getting married in October and August doesn't think he'll live long enough to see it happen. I'm fighting for both of us. Wishing you the best always. Anna
Hi David
Thanks so much for all the information you sent to me. It's wonderful to know that people really care and help each other. I read your latest note regarding your upcoming surgery. I wish you all the best and will say special prayers for you. The best to you always,
Anna
I recently learned about IPT. I am an RN diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999 and am currently dealing with metastasis to the bone. There are about 26 Drs. in the US currently performing this treatment. I sent for a book, "Cancer: Treating Cancer with IPT", by Dr. Ross Houser. This book explains just about everything you want to know about IPT. You can find some info also on the Internet. I know of several individuals who are currently undergoing IPT treatment. They say they feel wonderful while going through the treatment. Since they are in the early stages of treatment I don't have any idea as to what the outcome may be. I have spoken with my insurance company and as with any alternative therapy it is not something that they will endorse. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who may have additional information.
Thanks Carol for the IPT info! As I was just told that I had cancer of the tongue and throat, I ordered the booklet from this Dr. Rowens newsletter and paid $20.00 extra for overnite service, and, as you can probably guess, haven't received it yet, as of writing this! I will be brave and tell you here where I am at, Cape Girardeau, Mo, 120 miles south of St. Louis and about 150 north of Memphis, Tenn.
Thought, when you get time, you might look and see if there is a Dr. listed for IPT within a 250 mile area or so of here! I will have to have surgery to have this thing removed and then Chemo and Radiation! Had planned on going to the Cancer Treatment Center of America to get the Chemo and IMRT, radiation, but don't know if they offer the IPT! Do you know? They also have an outstanding nutritutional program, as I understand!
Thanks again for any info you can give me!
Good luck and God Bless
David
