Good news story

My Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in June 2006.  He had a tumor in the middle of his pacreas and a couple of spots on his liver.  We took him to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, OK.  In December of last year the tumor in his pancreas was gone.  He is now left with a couple of spots on his liver.  They are considering lasering them out, but they are giving the chemo some more run time first.  He was being treated with Avastin and Gemzar at the same time.  I do not know if it was this combination of drugs that got rid of his pancreatic cancer or a miracle from God.  He also had a new form of radiation.  There was 1 more type of chemo as well, I believe it was Oxyplatinum?  There is always hope.  Hopefully my dad is on his way to a full recovery.  I wish all the best to everyone.

Maria

He was on Avastin and Gemzar at the same time.  Also he was on oxyplatin.  I think Avastin and Gemzar work great together.  I wish you the best.
