Ahh I am so overwhelmed right now I really feel like things ar moving way too fast I have no time to even think about the things that have been happening.  Does anyone have any information about personal experiences with Hospice?  My dad has lung cancer stage four and its in his liver and now in his bones.  Hospice has him at home but on morphine which is so strong he is losing his mind.  This is so hard to watch and I am thinking it is all the pain meds? I mention it to them and they say he will adjust to it. I dont know?  Does anyone have any ideas about what I should be doing?  I feel like I am underwater with bricks tied to my ankles. In the past week he has gone from being able to have a conversation to not able to feed himself?

I know what you are going through. My father was 51 and diagnosed with lung cancer in 2001. He only survived 8 months. He also had hospice at home. I'm sorry to tell you but when hospice comes in thats the last line. They tell you a month or two, but it is usually weeks. I'm so sorry. The reason he's on all those pain meds is to make him comfortable. It is the hardiest thing to see your dad at his weakiest. Just pray. I wish I had a mericle but I learned there are noone. Hear I am once again six years later fighting for my 15 yr olds sons life. He was diagnosed in june with aml leukemia. Thank God he is in remission but we have a long road ahead of us. I feel my dad is watching out for my son and maybe there was a reason God took my father to help heal my son and help me be a strong parent for him. My prayers are with you and your family marjj
