Lann, sorry to hear your mom's situation. Is she ready to go? Thank God for Dr.s who will give it to you straight and not hide. My dad's family dr. has been great, also, though he doesn't have much experience with pc. I have been searching for info and others' experiences, too. It helps prepare you for the worst and hope for the best. From what I've heard and read of pc whipple/chemo, it doesn't make life easier, just prolongs it for some. Dad chose minimal treatment, and is preparing to go on "Down to the River". It's an old song he wants played at his funeral, whenever that may be.
It seems we have lots of ups and downs ahead, but when it's all done, I will treasure the times we had together, the conversations we shared, the love that will bring us back together on the other side. God bless you! RT
