SCC CAN be life threatening. Get it removed early and you should be fine. Let it go and it can be disfiguring and potentially fatal. Treating lymph node metastasis is much more extensive and is associated with significant morbidity; however, 5-year survival rates as high as 73% have been achieved with the combination of surgical removal of lymph nodes and radiation therapy. Once lung metastasis occurs, the disease is incurable.
Ok...so my question is very basic now. Does "Extensive Lympnatic Invasion" ( as mentioned on my pathology) mean that it has metastized to the lymph nodes ?
NOBODY is willing to tell me
